Save the Elephants (STE) is a charitable organisation established in 1993 by Iain Douglas Hamilton. Its primary mission is to prevent the extinction of elephants and safeguard their natural environments. The group concentrates on three main areas: conservation, scientific study, and public education. In terms of conservation, STE aims to put an end to illegal poaching, particularly in regions such as Africa and Asia. Regarding research, the organisation partners with scientists and specialists to explore the behaviour of elephants, contributing valuable knowledge for their protection. Additionally, STE works to enhance community awareness by using films, television, and modern media platforms to spread their message. With 335 initiatives across 40 nations, STE has made a significant impact in preserving this remarkable species and promoting coexistence between humans and wildlife.
