Save the Elephants (STE) is a non-profit organisation that was set up in 1993 by Iain Douglas-Hamilton. Its main aims are to make sure elephants do not die out and to protect the habitats where elephants live. The organisation focuses on three main areas: protection, research and awareness. In terms of protection, STE works to stop the illegal hunting of elephants, especially in Africa and Asia. They also conduct research by working with scientists and experts to study elephant behaviour. Additionally, STE raises public awareness through films, television, and new media sources. Thanks to its effective dedication and efforts, Save the Elephants has supported 325 projects in 46 countries around the world. This work plays an important role in ensuring the survival of elephants and the conservation of their environments
