Walt Disney is known around the world as the man who created Mickey Mouse and changed the entertainment industry. He was also the founder of The Walt Disney Company, one of the biggest media companies in the world.
He was born on December 5, 1901, in Chicago, the United States. In his childhood, he loved drawing and telling stories. He went to McKinley High School and later studied art at the Chicago Art Institute.
Disney was a very successful film-maker. He created many famous cartoon characters, such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. His first full-length animated movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs became a big hit. After that, he made other popular films like Cinderella and The Lion King.
Besides films, he also built Disneyland and Disney World, which are now famous theme parks. He had four brothers and one sister. He and his wife had two daughters.
Walt Disney passed away in 1966. However, his company is still successful today, making movies and building parks loved by people all over the world.
