One of the most common natural disasters in Vietnam is flooding. It mainly occurs during the rainy season, especially in the central provinces and the Mekong Delta. Floods often cause serious damage to houses, crops, and transportation systems, greatly affecting people’s daily lives. The main reasons are heavy and prolonged rains, along with poor drainage systems. Local authorities often organize evacuation plans, provide support for affected people, and strengthen flood prevention efforts to minimize losses. Flooding continues to be a major challenge for many communities across the country.
