One natural disaster that often happens in Vietnam is flooding. Floods frequently occur during the rainy season, especially in central and southern regions. Heavy rainfall, combined with storms or typhoons, causes rivers to overflow, damaging homes, roads, and crops. Many people lose their property and even their lives due to strong currents and landslides. Flooding also leads to water pollution and the spread of diseases. To reduce damage, the government and local communities build drainage systems, reinforce riverbanks, and improve weather forecasts to prepare for future floods.
