Save the Elephants (STE) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1993 by Iain Douglas-Hamilton. The main aims of the organisation are to ensure that elephants do not die out and to protect the habitats where elephants live. Their work focuses on three main areas: protection, research, and awareness. In terms of protection, they aim to stop the illegal hunting of elephants, especially in Africa and Asia. For research, they work closely with scientists and experts to study elephant behaviour. In addition, STE also raises public awareness about elephant conservation through films, television, and new media platforms. Thanks to their efforts, they have supported 335 projects in 40 countries around the world.
