Subject: How I Learn English

Hi [Pen Pal’s Name],

I hope you’re doing well! Today I want to share with you my methods for studying English. I try to practice every day, even for just 20 minutes. I often watch short videos and listen to songs in English to improve my listening skills. I also read simple stories and articles to learn new words in context.

To build my speaking confidence, I talk with friends online and record myself speaking. After that, I listen again and correct my mistakes. I keep a small notebook where I write new words and phrases. Reviewing it regularly really helps me remember.

What about you? How do you study English?

Best wishes,

Dear Mom,

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share some exciting news with you. I've found an incredible study partner for the upcoming semester. Her name is Sarah, and we share the same enthusiasm for our courses. She has a stellar academic record and a unique perspective that I believe will enhance my learning experience. We've already discussed our study goals and how we can support each other throughout the semester. I think having her as a study buddy will not only make the academic journey more enjoyable but also contribute positively to my overall growth. I can't wait for you to meet her during the next family video call.

Love,

Dear Mai,

I haven't talked to you for a long time since your family moved to Sai Gon. How are you doing now? What do you do on the weekend?

Today I’m going to share with you about my leisure activities in my spare time.

I like spending my free time with friends. On the weekend, I often go to the cinema , then eat something good with my best friends. I greatly love chatting with them.

I also enjoy going travelling with my family. Last year we went to Da Nang, a beautiful city with many bridges. In addition, having dinner with my family is one of my favourite activities each day.

I really like to read books, and one of my top novels is the series of Harry Potter. Do you know it?

I guess that’s all about me now. When you have free time, write me and tell me about you and your hobbies.

I’m looking forward to your reply.

Best, Minh.

Hi Jimmy,
Teenagers in Viet Nam use the Internet for many things. In learning, the Internet helps us to find information for our presentation. We find a lot of interesting ideas and beautiful pictures to make our presentation more impressive. After school, the Internet gives us lots of games for entertainment. I myself like English interactive games on the Internet. In communication, the Internet helps us to keep in touch with friends and maintain our relationships. We love the Internet. What about in the US?
Please write and let me know.
