Camcon, giới từ cũng có thể được coi là một chủ đề lớn trong tiếng Anh, do đó sẽ rất khó để trả lời xác đáng rằng đáp án nào sẽ đúng nếu không có một tình huống giao tiếp hay một cấu trúc cụ thể.
Ví dụ: I am worried about my sister because she is staying at home alone. (about là giới từ đi cùng worried; at ở trường hợp này là chỉ nơi chốn)
Điều mà cô có thể nói với em là:
- Giới từ là một từ hoặc một nhóm từ được sử dụng trước một danh từ, đại từ hoặc cụm danh từ để chỉ phương hướng, thời gian, địa điểm, vị trí, các mối quan hệ hoặc để giới thiệu.
- Ví dụ về giới từ: in, on, at, about, around, between, behind, among, behind, across, toward,...
Để làm được những bài về giới từ, chúng ta cần học và luyện về chủ đề liên quan đến giới từ. Từ đó em sẽ hình thành được cách tư duy vấn đề và hiểu được bản chất của những giới từ được sử dụng.
Cô giới thiệu tới em cuốn Giải thích Ngữ pháp Tiếng Anh (Mai Lan Hương), trong đó có chủ đề về giới từ rất chi tiết và các bài tập luyện điển hình có sẵn đáp án với những dạng giới từ thường gặp nhất.
