1. Talk about your Tet holiday
I would like to talk about the Lunar New Year festival, also known as the Tet holiday, which is the occasion expected the most by Vietnamese people every year. The festival usually lasts for around 3-4 days, and it takes place when a new year comes according to the lunar calendar.
The Lunar New Year festival takes place because it is one of the most well-known traditions of Vietnam. Our people have been celebrating this occasion for thousands of years, and although there has been some recent argument about whether we should stop celebrating this festival, I do not think this activity will come to an end soon, at least not in the short term.
There are some common things that people do during this festival. Perhaps the most important thing is that people who work and study in big cities would go back to their hometown to celebrate the new year with their families and relatives. The new year festival is one of very few occasions that families can gather together, so it is easy to understand why everyone in Vietnam expects this festival so much. Another thing that we usually do is that we give children some “lucky money” with the hope that it will bring fortune to those kids. We also have some other activities such as making “chung” cake, visiting temples and pagodas… and so on.
The new year festival is so important to me and also to all Vietnamese citizens. The reason is because we get more days off from work and study, and therefore we have more time to spend with our families and our loved ones. It is also a great time to think about what we have done in the previous year, and to make plans for the upcoming year.

English is a common language that is quite diffucult to understand and to learn. But there are many countries that speak English, making English as their native language. America is one of them. America is an English-speaking country. English is a common language in America. As you know, America is very developed, and this developed country is using 1 international language, that is English. And as I know, most Americans speak Englishs .Due to the fact that a few hundred years ago, Colossians discovered. Although American and English are 1, but in there are still some words different from English like football (soccer) or some words with "u" missing word like color (colour) or neighbor (neighbour). English is very diverse, and our country is starting to use English as a second language.

Summer is a fun season, so there are lots of activities in summer. We can go to the beach and play volleyball, and swim at sea. Then we can sit and enjoy the famous delicious specialties. The second activity, we can go camping together, it's fun, isn't it? Sitting by the fire together, singing good songs, it's wonderful. For those who love adventure, summer is a great vacation to explore mysterious caves, mysterious forests and even deep carpeted valleys with no bottom. And we can join the summer camp, have fun, and the summer is great, right? Summer is a great season, not only that it's also a vacation, you can have lots of fun summer activities with your family and friends. Here are my opinions, if you like, give them a try!

TOPIC 1:
Bat Trang Porcelain Village is a traditional pottery-making village, which is located in the Northern of the Red River, Bat Trang town, Gia Lam district, Ha Noi. The pottery here is made of a special kind of clay – the white clay.
The craftsmen only use their hands to knead the clay into the shape of the bowl, flower vase, etc. Then, they draw lively pictures or patterns on the products and glaze them. After that, these kneaded-clays will be put into the kiln for heating.
The pottery products of Bat Trang Porcelain Village are always famous for the skillfulness, subtleness and the diversity of product’s shapes such as small bowls, large bowls, flower vases, pots, thuribles, etc. Especially, all the handicrafts of this pottery-making village are waterproof and fade-resistant.
The glaze of Bat Trang is also very subtle and unique with the secret recipe, which is handed down from generation to generation. Those values have created such an irresistible attraction and appealing feature for Bat Trang village. This is the reason why this traditional handicraft village can attract so many tourists as well.

The vast improvements made in the field of medicine have served to lengthen our life expectancy and to reduce the rate of infant mortality. The discovery of mechanization, better seeds, better techniques of irrigation and pest control, has worked to increase productivity levels on farms. In transportation, railway, modern ocean liner, jet plane, and motor vehicle have made our lives more comfortable and provided great possibilities for modern commercial development and industrialization. The invention of the computer has assisted the process of calculation in laboratories Technology has made communication much simpler in recent times. Science has brought about groundbreaking solutions to numerous deadly diseases. Man is able to explore the space extensively because of the wide-scale development in technology. Our life has become healthier and longer. Modern hygiene, sanitation, medicine and surgery are conquering more and more physical and mental ills day by day. We now know and experience the joys of good health and longevity. Disadvantages of Science and TechnologyMachines have led to unemployment. They have polluted water and atmosphere. They have caused noise pollution. Factories have led to slums where human beings live in squalor. Our moral and spiritual progress has failed to keep pace with our scientific progress. We have allowed science to master us instead of using it as our servant. Machines make us mechanical, deaden our sensibilities, stifle our creative talents, force mechanical regularity, uniformity and boredom upon us, increase our wants and desires, and tend to make us selfish, greedy and cruel. Geographical distance has, no doubt, vanished, but the gulf between the minds and hearts of man has widened. Machines have given man leisure, but man misuses it to get cheap and vulgar entertainment which destroys his physical and mental health.Again, science has put in our hand’s such fiendish weapons as a nuclear bomb, the guided missile and means of chemical and biological warfare.

5. Talk about your favourite sport
I would like to talk about a sport that I particularly enjoy and have been practising for a few years. It is basketball. For me, this is not only a sport or a physical exercise but also an ideal way for me to relieve of stress and to make new friends.
I first knew about basketball when I was a little kid through a video game called NBA 2k8. However, at that time I did not play badminton at all, partly because I was not an active kid who was aware of the critical importance of physical exercises. When I went to high school, a lot of my friends were a big fan of basketball and my high school offered big playgrounds for sports activities, therefore I practised basketball much more often.
I usually play basketball in the weekends and watch NBA on the nights when my favorite team, the Los Angeles Lakers play. I often go to sports centres with a number of my classmates for basketball matches. Sometimes we even participate in local league, didn’t accomplish anything big but it was extremely fun.
For me, basketball is a good way to help me pursue a healthy lifestyle. It is also an affordable type of sport as you do not have to buy a lot of specialised sports materials. Finally, playing basketball enables me to develop a number of important and non-academic skills such as discipline, team-work, problem-solving and co-operation.

As we know, The Internet has many benefits and importance in the present time. It’s clear
that the Internet has become part of our daily life. Because:
Firstly,The Internet is a very fast and convinient way for us to communicate with others. Such
as, We can communicate with our friends and relatives by means of email or chatting.
Secondly, the Internet is a very fast and convinient way for us to get information. For
examples,We can get latest news of the world, check weather or book the tickets for a soccer
match or the flight, and so on.
Thirdly, The Internet is a big source of entertaiment: We can see movies, listen to music , read
newspapers . We can play games or do sight seeing, and so on.
Finally, Internet is a rich source educational materials: We can learn English, look up new
words in a dictionary, take a learning course, and so on.
On the other hand, the Internet has limistations. It is time - consuming and costly. It is also
dangerous because of virus and bad programs. On the other hand, The Internet users sometimes
have to suffer various risks such as spam or electronic junk mail, and personal information
leaking.
In conclusion, the Internet is very useful for us. However, we shouldn’t spend too much time
for it. We should balance study and surf the web.
