Dear Mum and Dad,
Well, here I am in Peru pn our South America tour. We got to Lima five days ago. We had a good journey. It took three days by bus, but we saw lót of things on the way. We didn't do much for the first two days, as a couple of the other guys were ill. We spent most of the time on the beach. (They're OK now!). On Wednesday, we came up to the mountains, and yesterday we went to the old Inca city of Machu Picchu and did some sightseeing. It was fantastic! We didn't have a lot of time there, but we saw everything and I took lots of photos. Hope you're well. Did you get my card from Caolombia?

This is just a quick letter to let you know that . I’m fine . We are all working quite hard because the exams are only a few-weeks away , but our teacher(1) SAYS he thinks we’ll do well .
Anyway , we(2) HAD a wonderful time at half term . We went off to the Paris for a (3) FEW days with my friends and we went on a guided tour . We saw most of the famous sights (4) LIKE the louver , here they have an amazing collections of paintings , and the Eiffel Tower . Then we went down to the South of France (5) BY train . It was so (6) FAST the whole journey was only about four hours . We (7) SPENT a little time in Nice and in Cannes as well , and we all (8) REALLY enjoyed it . On our last day we went to a small island (9) CALLED the llea des Pelerins , and we saw the castle where they (10) USED to keep the ‘ Man in the Iron Mask’ . All in all , we had a great time and the weather was really good as well .

Angel Falls is the highest waterfall in the world. It is located in the lonely jungles of Venezuela. The best way to get to the falls is by air.
From the top to the bottom, the waterfall is 3212 feet, over 1000 feet higher than any other falls in the world. It looks like a silver thread hanging from the clouds. Visitor can see spectacular scenery at the falls. Water drops straight down the cliff and tumbles and foams over the lower canyon wall. The fine spray catches the light and sparkles in the sun.
The falls were named after Jimmie Angel. He was a pilot and he discovered the falls in 1937. However, the local people already knew it and called it the Churun Meru.
