The first reason why many families do volunteer work is that they feel satisfied and proud. The feeling of fulfillment comes from helping the community and other people. In addition, volunteering is a great way for families to have fun and closer. But many people say they don’t have time to volunteer because they have to work and take of their families. If that’s the case, try rethinking some of your free time as a family. You could select just one or two projects a year and make them a family tradition. For instance, your family can make and donate gift blankets for the old homeless people on holidays. Your family can also spend only one Saturday morning a month collecting rubbish in your neighborhood.

Even though he left his house early to beat the traffic, if the cars don't start to move soon, Richard will be late for a very important meeting. If he's late, he won't get in trouble, but he hates to be late for anything.

Sergey is stuck in the same traffic jam, and he's headed to the same meeting that Richard is going to. He's worried about being late, so he gets out his cell phone and calls one of his coworkers to tell her that traffic is bad. Sergey doesn't know that his boss, Richard, is in the same traffic jam. IV.Read the following passage and decide if it is T or F.

Many people still believe that natural resources will never be used up. Actually, the world’s energy resources are limited. Nobody knows exactly how much fuel is left. However, we also should use them economically and try to find out alternative sources of power. According to Professor Marvin Burnharm of the New England Institude of Technology, we have to start conserving coal, oil and gas before it is too late; and nuclear power is the only alternative.

However, many people do not approve of using nuclear power because it’s very dangerous. What would happen if there was a serious nuclear accident? Radioactivity causes cancer and may badly affect the future generations.

The most effective thing is that we should use natural resources as economical as possible.
