STUDY WELL !

Dear Susan,
It’s been a long time since the last time I wrote to you. A new year is coming, so I wish you and your family happiness and health. My family spent a cheerful holiday in our cozy house. In New Year Eve we had a big party with all my relatives, we got together, talked, sang and waited for the first moment of New Year 2012.
During this holiday I knew more about some interesting customs of our country that I really want to share with you. Those are the things that we should do to bring good luck for a new year. The first thing is that eating black-eyed peas are said to bring richness and safety to the coming year. Another interesting custom is eating pork on New Year’s Day because pigs eat moving forward. Therefore, those who eat pork will move forward, too. One more thing is we consider cabbage as another "good luck" vegetable. Cabbage leaves are also considered a sign of prosperity because we believe that cabbage is the symbol of paper money.
I know that you come from Viet Nam and your lunar new year is coming soon. I hope to learn more about the things you often do and your customs to bring lucks on Tet holiday.
Love,
Linh

Today, I am writing to introduce my family to you. I am lucky to have been born in a warm home consisting of 5 people : my parents, my elder sister, my younger brother and of course me. My father is a worker and my mother is housewife at home. Although my mom plays an important role of taking care of our house and cooking meals, We all share housework together whenever each has freetime. We are a close-knit family and we always share our feelings, joys or sorrows, with one another and help to deal with any problem coming up. We at all time feel happy and safe in my parents' loving hands.
Stop for now and be sure to give me some more lines about your life, too.

Hi friend,
This weekend, I don´t have to work and I use to work my weekends. It could be fantastic but I have a exam of english. Also I have a very bad exam because my grandmother and cousin were in the hospital. This Fryday, I improve my english for diferents ways as internet or books. My problem is that I´m not creative for writing part. If I have a e-mail for a friend, I don´t think ideas about a free weekend. It´s better for my that I talk about my real situation. After my exam of english I will have other exam more important for me because it´s for my perfect job with children in public education. I´m sorry that I can´t see you but I promise to see you on summer.
Your friend, Wind

My mother is a teacher, and her name is Ha. She is 39 years old. She is tall and slim, and she has bright skin with long black hair. She is a very nice and friendly person. Her students always give her compliments, and they love to study with her. Every day, she wakes up at 6 o’clock to cook breakfast for me, and then she goes to school. She teaches Math at a secondary school, and she is a very good teacher. She comes back home at 5 o’clock in the afternoon, and I help her to make dinner. Her hobbies are reading books, listening to music, and doing shopping. At the weekend, she usually goes to the mall to buy something she s, and I really enjoy going with her. She is a good mother who always takes care of the family, and I love her so much.

I want you to know my hometown. My hometown is Hung Yen. Now, I am living with my parents there. My hometown is very beautiful and wonderful, it has many small rivers, fields and vast expanses of green plants. And my hometown is too hot in the morning, so the nights are the good time to play.

Tet is one of the most important festivals in my country. It's a big holiday that celebrates the arrival of spring in Viet Nam every year. It usually lasts about seven days. There are lots of popular customs of Vietnamese people on Tet holiday. For example, they often visit their relatives, friends anh temples. Some people visit the graves of their ancestors in their homeland. Before Tet holiday begins, people decorate their house carefully to have a wonderful time with their family. Furthermore, special Tet food such as Chung cake, steamed sticky rice and boiled chicken can play an important role in Vietnam. Perhaps, Tet is the time when members of family can gather to chat or have meals together. In conclusion, Tet is the essential part in Vietnam.
