It was a Sunday night when I suddenly found a wooden door behind the curtains in my attic. The attic is where my secret base was set when my family first moved to this house. I usually stay there for hours to do some "art stuff" such as: drawing, playing musical instruments, sculpturing etc. That night, the moon was a gorgeous pearl that was encrusted on the starry night sky. The wind wandered through the streets, dancing in its own immense world.
"Knock! Knock! Is there anybody?" I knocked on the door and asked. The door looked ginormous, I could feel a massive power behind that door. Excitement enveloping, I pushed the door. Marvellous, no lock! Suddenly, a floral fragrance attacked my sense of smell. Lavenders? Roses? Jasmines? I didn't know either, because in front of me, there was a sea of flowers! The sunlight was gentle, the wind carried dandelions and lightly crept through my hair. I was amazed. It was eleven o'clock, how could this place be so sunny? Was it paradise? Was I in the Garden of Eden? Questions appeared in my head, torrentially. Unconsciously, I walk deeper into this place. My eyes were suddenly heavier as I walked. I felt tired, gently laid down the lush grass, waited until my sight was totally enveloped in darkness...
"Hello sweetheart! What are you doing here, at a place that full of dangers?" I opened my eyes. "Who is talking?"- I wondered, trying to find where the voice started around me. "I'm here, sweetheart! Just look down." I looked down as I heard the voice. Then, I saw a tiny and skinny boy who was wearing a green shirt. He was just as big as my hand! The tiny boy said, "It was a pleasure to meet you! Even though I don't know how you could get here, I can confirm that it is not safe to stay here so long, especially the humans. My family, friends and others are moving to the Northern Land to get rid of a monster, a horrendous monster! You too, sweetheart! Run away before The Tyrant catches you and eats you alive!" Then he rapidly ran into the flowers. "Wait! What do I have to do? I just accidentally get here by a strange door inside my attic, and now, you are saying I am in danger?!?" I shouted. No one could know how panic I was. The boy shouted back, "Door? Ohhhh I got it sweatheart! You better get back there before 10 a.m. The door only opens at 10 a.m! If not, you may get stuck here forever." He stopped, emphasized: "FOR-EVER!" Then disappeared.
I was petrified. How can I get back to the door? How can I know if it is exactly 10 a.m when I get back there or not? When I was surrounded by lots of questions, a scent of flowers attacked my nose again. I standed up and lookekd at the flowers. All of them were facing at one direction! I had a massive sense that I should follow them. Then I just walked. I did not know how long I had been walking, until I saw all the flowers were facing arround the area that I was standing. I was not dare to face the risk that I was staying at the wrong place, but by somehow magically, I felt that I found the right place. "However, where is the door?" I wonder, "The little boy said that the door only opens at 10 a.m, am I too early, or unfortunately, too late?"
One more time, I suddenly smelled the floral scent. This time, I saw land which was covered in moss roses. They hadn't bloomed yet! The moss rose only bloom at 10 a.m, as well as the door only appear at 10 a.m. I sat next to the moss roses-covered land, gazed at them with hope. Please, just bloom as fast as you can. Finally, as the flower bloomed, the door appeared. A boisterous wind suddenly came and pushed me up, until I got through the door. "Thank you, flowers! Thank you, winds! Thank you, little boy! Farewell magic land!"- I shouted as the door slowly closed. I looked around. This is my attic, my lovely attic. I came back! I had to tell my younger sister this astonishing adventure in the very next morning!
"...You won't believe it! It was suspenseful!" I said. My younger sister was eight, she looked at me with the suspicious eyes, "Are you sure that you found a strange door in the attic, next you saw a sea of flowers, then you met a tiny guy, finally you came back by some weird-directing-flowers?" I dragged her to the attic, "C'mon, I have to show you this!" I opened the attic door. Wait a minute, where was that door? "Oh great, it just vanished..."
The next month, I left some areas in my backyard to grow the moss roses. It seemed to grow very fast. Very soon after that, my backyard was filled with flowers, sunlight and winds. Now, it looks exactly the same as "the Garden of Eden" behind the mysterious door in my attic.
