Hung King’s Festival is one of the the greatest national festivals in Vietnam. It is held each year from the 8th to the 11th days of the third lunar month in honour of the Hùng Kings and their role in shaping the nation.. Like other festivals in the northern part of Viet Nam, this festival includes two parts: the incense-offering ceremony and the recreational activities. Additional festivities include music, rice cooking competitions and dragon dancing. Food also plays an essential role in the customs taking place during Hung King’s Festival because it is a symbolic sacrificial offering to the Hung Kings. People bring traditional dishes such as banh giay (crushed sticky rice pudding), and banh chung (sticky rice cake). In conclusion, the festival has become a symbol of the strength of national unity, one connection between past and present.

Buffalo fighting is a unique and traditional festival of people in Do Son District, Haiphong City. This festival is not only associated with Water Goddess worshiping and sacrificing custom but also expressed bravery, chivalry, and risk-taking spirit of people in the coastal city of Haiphong. The festival is annually and officially operated on the 9th day of the 8th month in Vietnamese Lunar Calendar; however, its preparation takes participants nearly a year to process. From choosing the right buffaloes to buy, raising and training them—all of which require hard work and ongoing effort. For example, selection of fighting buffaloes only must be in great meticulosity as they must meet a wide range of requirements: at least 4 or 5 years old, wide chest, bow-shape horns, toned thighs, and long tail. Also, these buffaloes are kept separately from normal ones, and so on. The festival derives from the belief of Do Son’s locals that buffalo fighting is in favor of their guardian gods and hence a continuity of this activity brings them safe voyages, abundant crops as well as healthy and wealthy people—signs of prosperity and happiness.

I'm going to tell you about my bedroom - my favourite room.
In my home there are five rooms . One of these rooms is my favorite one and I spend most of my time in it that room is my bed room . When you enter to my bedroom which I shared it with my younger sister you’ll find a spacious room , quiet and purple wall . First thing you’ll see when you enter that a nice and comfortabale sofa and beside it a small closet where I put my books and some other stuff . And on your left there are tow beds , one of them is mine and the other it’s my sister bed . And in front You there are other part of the room , on the right there are a dressing table with a big mirror and on it you can find a hair brush and some make-up . Then on the left you’ll see a door of the clothes room .
And that is all thing about my room I hope that you like it .

Harry Potter is one of my favourite movies. I have loved it since it was held in the theatre years ago. Based on the best seller fiction written by JK.Rowling, the movie makes it real. This movie was about Harry Potter, he is a wizard born in the dark days of the wizardry world. His parents died in the hand of Voldemort, the dark lord. During his journey, he experienced a lot: happiness, sadness, live and death moments, etc. At last, he finally beat Voldermort and became a great auror like his parents. This movie taught me many things. The most important thing for me is that love and friendship will always be there for those who deserve it and fight for it. I’d recommend this movie for everyone.

Hi Mai, Let me tell you about my experience. I took part in a beach clean-up and it was great! I arrived at Sam Son Beach on Sunday morning. It was really dirty. There were trash and plastic bags everywhere so we had to clean it up. Over 100 volunteers took part. We worked for 5 hours and picked up over 3 tones of trash! Chào Mai, Để tôi kể cho bạn nghe về trải nghiệm của tôi. Tôi đã tham gia một chiến dịch dọn dẹp biển và nó rất tuyệt! Tôi đã đến biển Sầm Sơn vào sáng Chủ nhật. Nó thực sự rất bẩn. Có rất nhiều túi bóng và rác ở khắp nơi vì vậy chúng tôi đã phải dọn dẹp chúng. Hơn 100 tình nguyện viên đã tham gia. Chúng tôi làm việc trong vòng 5 tiếng và đã nhặt được hơn 3 tấn rác. Bãi biển trở nên thật tuyệt vời sau khi chúng tôi hoàn thành. Đó thực sự là một ngày tuyệt vời. Tôi muốn tham gia lại chiến dịch sớm. Bạn có muốn tham gia không? Hãy nói cho tôi biết nhé. Đấu vật vốn là một trò vui rất phổ biến trong các lễ hội đầu xuân ở quê tôi. Sân đấu thường là những bãi đất rộng, bằng phẳng, có thể là sân đình làng. Trên đó người ta trải một tấm bạt lớn có vẽ hai vòng tròn đồng tâm, một to một nhỏ để làm ranh giới thi đấu. Người tham gia đấu vật thường là những người đàn ông trai tráng to lớn, có sức vóc đến từ các làng xã, khác nhau. Vào ngày diễn ra hội thi cả làng đông vui lắm, già trẻ lớn bé, ai cũng gác lại hết công việc dắt nhau ra đình làng xem vật, quây kín cả sân đấu. Các đô vật cởi trần, chỉ mặc mỗi một chiếc quần đùi ngắn, có màu sắc khác nhau để phân biệt. Khi trọng tài ra hiệu bắt đầu trận vật, hai đô vật cơ bắp lực lưỡng lập tức lao vào, ra sức vật ngã đối phương trong tiếng hò hét cổ vũ của người xem. Trên sân lúc này, hai đô vật không ai nhường ai. Người nào người nấy, mắt long sòng sọc, hàm nghiến chặt, mồ hôi đổ như suối, tay nắm lấy thắt lưng đối phương giằng co trên sân. Sau mười lăm phút thi đấu, cuối cùng cũng nghe thấy tiếng còi của trọng tài, một đô vật đã xuất sắc quật ngã đối phương để tiến vào vòng tiếp theo. Người đi xem hét vang trời, không khí rộn ràng với tiếng trống, tiếng vỗ tay, tiếng huýt sáo, ôi, vui thật là vui. Buổi đấu vật còn diễn ra cho tới hết buổi chiều mới kết thúc, trận nào cũng vô cùng gay cấn và hấp dẫn. Em hy vọng rằng, vào những mùa xuân sau nữa hội thi đấu vật vẫn sẽ tiếp tục được tổ chức, vì đã thể hiện được tinh thần thượng võ của dân tộc ta.

My house is located in a small quiet alley. That’s a pretty pink house which consists of 6 rooms in totally: a living room, a kitchen, a toilet, a bathroom and two bedrooms. There are a white leather sofa, a television and a sideboard in the living room. After dinner, my father will turn on the television, choose a great movie and we watch it happily. Next to the living room is the kitchen where is used for cooking and enjoying the meals. In the middle of the room is a dinner table which is made from wood. Three cookers, a refrigerator and all the neccesary stuff for cooking is arranged carefully in the right corner of the room. In the left of the kitchen is a clean toilet. Beside the toilet is the bathroom which is equipped a shower and a bathtub. There are only two rooms upstairs that is my parents’ room and my private room. I’ve decorated my bedroom with adorable wallpaper and many lovely stuffed animals. A single bed is placed next to the window so that I can stargaze before falling asleep. In the opposite of the bed are my desk and my bookshelf that contain many kinds of book. There are also an old television and a piano in my bedroom. I especially love the piano because that was the gift from dad in my birthday. In every Christmas or Tet holiday, all member of my family ornament the house together and then gather in the kitchen to cooking. Although my house is not too big but to me that is the most beautiful house in the world.

I often call Nhuan Trach Primary School is my second home. School children, though not very large but very spacious and clean. High school entrance and spacious, the two sides is the flower corridor leads straight to the playground and the classroom.
School Grounds are wide, around the yard Poinciana trees and ancient shade cover, with flower beds and lawns green. Listed under the tree row of stone for us to read books and talk after each lesson.
The classrooms are full of tables and chairs, cabinets for learning and also exhibited the post office corner, nice arle. In addition, you also have the other classrooms as music room, computer science, library, classrooms English ...
I even loved the school because here we have good friends and the teachers are always interested to teach and impart knowledge to us. I loved my second home!

My secondary school is a place that bears all the hallmarks of my childhood memories. It is placed in the center of my district. Surrounded by a paddy-field, it enjoys lined- trees and colorful garden, which creates a wonderful view. Moreover, this school was designed with a large- scale plan. It is a 2 storied building of u shape with capacity of 1000 people and it was invested heavily in infrastructures with well- equipped classrooms. In a good environment, students are given many precious chances to discover and develop their inner talents. Besides modern facilities, this school is also well- known for enthusias and qualified teachers who are always dedicated and devoted themselves to teaching career. In conclusion, studied in this school for four years, it has become an indispensable part in my life
