Một trong các vấn đề gây nhức nhối trong đời sống hiện nay là vấn đề bóc lột sức lao động trẻ em. Đặc biệt là trong lĩnh vực kinh doanh trên mạng xã hội.

Tuy vấn đề trẻ em bị ép buộc tham gia lao động khi chưa đủ tuổi đã tồn tại từ rất lâu, nhưng gần đây, cùng với sự phát triển mạnh mẽ của mạng xã hội, thì nó dần biến tướng với các hình thức mới. Đó là cách các bậc cha mẹ, người lớn để trẻ nhỏ tham gia quay các video, clip với mục đích kiếm tiền hoặc bán hàng. Đây vốn là hoạt động giải trí bình thường, nhưng thực tế lại tiến hành dựa trên sự ép buộc, yêu cầu trẻ nhỏ phải làm những điều theo trend, được ưa thích, ép các em phải ngồi nói chuyện với người xem, tham gia các sự kiện… Họ lợi dụng hình ảnh đáng yêu, vô tư hồn nhiên đó của các em để lôi kéo khách hàng, thực hiện hoạt động buôn bán. Từ đó, khiến các em nhỏ phải làm việc như “một nghệ sĩ”, suốt ngày đối mặt với ống kính máy quay theo đạo diễn của bố mẹ. Điều đó gián tiếp khiến các em mất đi sự ngây thơ, vô tư của lứa tuổi, trở thành một quả táo bị ép chín. Các em cũng không còn nhiều thời gian để vui chơi, nô đùa với bạn bè, bởi có quá nhiều thời gian để “làm việc”. Chính vì thế, việc bóc lột sức lao động trẻ em trên mạng xã hội cần được loại trừ và đẩy lùi ngay từ hôm nay. Trước hết là từ các hoạt động tẩy chay các nhãn hàng, kênh mạng xã hội kiếm tiền từ hình ảnh trẻ em trái phép. Đồng thời, cần đẩy mạnh tuyên truyền về việc ngưng sử dụng trẻ em như một công cụ kiếm tiền cho tất cả mọi người, đặc biệt là các bậc phụ huynh.
