Thì hiện tại đơn (Simple Present Tense) dùng để diễn tả một thói quen, một sự thật hiển nhiên, hoặc một hành động xảy ra thường xuyên. Cách dùng và cấu trúc phụ thuộc vào chủ ngữ.
**I. Cấu trúc:**
* **Khẳng định:**
* **Với động từ thường:** Chủ ngữ + V(s/es) + tân ngữ/phụ ngữ.
* *V(s/es)* là động từ thêm "-s" hoặc "-es" ở ngôi thứ ba số ít (he, she, it). Động từ thêm "-es" khi tận cùng là -o, -s, -sh, -ch, -x, -z.
* Ví dụ:
* I **eat** rice every day. (Tôi ăn cơm mỗi ngày.)

**II. Một số điểm cần lưu ý:**
* **Trạng từ chỉ tần suất:** (always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, rarely, never) thường đứng trước động từ thường nhưng sau động từ "to be".
* **Câu hỏi Yes/No:** Câu trả lời ngắn gọn dùng trợ động từ. Ví dụ: "Do you like pizza?" - "Yes, I do." / "No, I don't."
* **Câu hỏi Wh-question:** Câu hỏi bắt đầu bằng từ để hỏi (what, where, when, who, why, how...)
**III. Ví dụ tổng hợp:**
* **Khẳng định:** She sings beautifully. (Cô ấy hát rất hay.)
* **Phủ định:** They don't go to school on Sundays. (Họ không đi học vào Chủ nhật.)
* **Nghi vấn:** Does he speak English? (Anh ấy có nói tiếng Anh không?)
* **Câu hỏi Wh-question:** Where do you live? (Bạn sống ở đâu?)
Hiểu rõ cấu trúc và cách dùng sẽ giúp bạn sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn một cách chính xác. Hãy luyện tập nhiều để làm quen với cấu trúc và ghi nhớ các động từ thêm "-s" hoặc "-es".
