People have always needed ways to get fresh water for drinking and washing. They have also needed ways to get rid of waste water. That is why the first plumbing systems were built thousand years old. Crete is an island in the Mediterranean Sea. In 1600 B.C., a great palace stood on the Crete. The palace had fresh water, toilets, baths, drains, and sewers.
