-         Diễn tả một kinh nghiệm (đã từng, chưa từng, đây là lần đầu tiên,...)

-         Diễn tả một việc vừa mới xảy ra.

-         Diễn tả một việc mà thời gian chưa trôi qua.

-         Dùng với so sánh nhất.

II.               Dấu hiệu nhận biết:

-         Since: kể từ

-         For:trong khoảng thời gian

-         Ever:đã từng

-         Never: chưa từng

-         Just: vừa mới

-         Already: đã

-         Yet: chưa

-         Recently: gần đây

-         Since then: kể từ đó

-         Up to now: cho đến bây giờ

-         So far: cho đến nay

-         .....before: đã/chưa làm...trước đây.

-         .... several times: ....làm....vài lần. ( twice, three times,...)

-         these days, this week, this month,... (thời gian chưa trôi qua)

III.           Cách chia:

a. Khẳng định  :    I / you / we / they   +   have    +   Vpp

b. Phủ định :           S      +    haven't      +    Vpp

                                              hasn't

c. Nghi vấn :           Have     +   S    +   Vpp ? -> Yes, S + have/ has.

                                Has                                       No, S + haven’t/ hasn’t.
