The Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is the most magnificent building in India. It is called ‘one of the seven wonders of the world.” It was built by the Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan in the sweet memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Twenty thousand workmen including some European masons worked day and night for twenty years to build it. It cost the Emperor several crores of rupees.
I had a keen desire to visit this famous building of the world. At last the day came when my long-cherished desire turned into reality. Last year I had an occasion to attend the marriage of a friend of mine. This gave me a chance to see this master-piece of artistic design. As I came close to it, I was struck by its unique structure. It is a marvel in marble. We went to the underground room where Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal lie buried. Our minds went back to the times of Shah Jahan when he built this building at a high cost.
The Taj is surrounded by a cypress garden on three sides. It is situated on the bank of the river Jamuna which lends charm to its beauty. The surroundings and the garden and lustre to its architecture. The beauty of the Taj beggars description.
In the moonlit night, its glory and splender become unique. It is an intoxication and a delight to watch this marvelous feat of workmanship in a full moonlight night. I have seen several buildings but none presents such a glorious view. It is matchless in beauty.
Some historians have named it “the crown of the world.” Someone has rightly called it a ‘poem in marble.’ In short, it is a paradise on earth. It is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. The crimson rays of the sun at the time of sunset, enhance its beauty and glory.
My joy knew no bounds on seeing this wonderful building. Its memory will always remain fresh in my mind. My knowledge about the Taj is now first hand. It is quite different form the second hand information which I had got from my books.
I also visited some other historical buildings in Agra Fort. It is a huge buildings that reminds the visitors of the lofty grandeur and the glory of the great Moghul Kings. I then went to Fatehpur Sikri where I saw the famous Buland Darwaza, the Panch Mahal and many other buildings. All these magnificent structures made a deep impression on me but there is nothing to match the beauty of the Taj.
I was reminded of the English lady who, on seeing the Taj, had said to her husband,” If you promise to build a monument like the Taj in my memory, I am ready to die right now.”

My favorite movie of all time is Titanic. It is the best love story I have ever watched. I watched this movie many times but I never got tired watching it. Whenever I watch it, I always cry.
The reasons I like it so much are the grand scenery and the romantic content. The film is about the love story of Rose Dewitt Bukater and Jack Dawson. Jack was a free-spirited poor young man but he got a ticket for a luxurious ship, Titanic. Rose was from the American upper class and was engaged to a man. She was reluctant to marry him. She met Jack in Titanic and they fell deeply in love even there was a huge gap between them.
Titanic was headed to America from England. However, the ship crashed into an iceberg on the way. The side of it broke up and the ship was flooded. Not everyone could escape safely. Many people dead include Jack. Rose was survived because Jack helped her to climb on a boat. Jack sacrificed himself for Rose. Although It was only a classical sad love story, it encompassed a large range of emotions, laughter, rage, terror and the feeling of deep love. I was touched and especially appreciate the love between them. They both tried to save each other. It showed the power of love could do everything.
I think the movie had the exellent content which was based on a real story. The two main actor and actress Leonardo and Kate had an outstanding performance. Beside, the scenery and the stage properties really made me amazed. From the big ship to the small cushions at Rose’s room, they were all delicate. Last but not least, the great theme song “My heart will go on” by Celine Dion marked the end of the story. Even Jack leave Rose forever, her heart will keep going on.
This is the best movie I have ever watched. No wonder why Titanic already won 11 Academy Awards. I recommend that everyone should watch this movie at least once.

All of the special holidays in my country, I like Tet the most. Tet is an occasion to everyone get together in warm atmosphere. Before Tet holiday, Everyone prepares many things and decorates their house. I plant a lot of flowers in front of my house and buy many things such as clothes, foods ...
Besides, most of the streets also are decorated beautifully with colorful lights and flowers. During Tet, I spends more time on visiting my relatives, friends and colleagues. Especially, I give to each other the best wishes for the new year. Tet is an opportunity for children receive lucky money. There is a funny thing that people try to avoid argument or saying any bad things at Tet. I love Tet holiday!

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Bn tìm tranh về Ha Long Bay nhé!
Halong Bay is one of Mother Earth’s most amazing natural wonders and one of Vietnam’s most prized treasures.Halong Bay is formed by Cat Ba island to the South, Ngoc Hung and Van Canh islands to the East and the Vietnamese coastline to the North and West.
The most outstanding feature of Halong Bay and undoubtedly its greatest attraction are the 1,696 islands, islets and rocky karst outcrops. 989 of these islets and rocky outcrops have been been given imaginative names by the locals over the years. These have been derived from their perceived shapes and include names such as Man’s Head, Fighting Cocks, Wading Ox and Wallowing Buffalo. With heights ranging from 50-100 meters (160-330 feet) and a height-to-width ratio of about 6:1, the majority of these karst pinnacles and islets have sheer, vertical cliffs. They are uninhabited and unaffected by human activities. The pure size and numbers of these outcrops provide a stunning contrast and backdrop to the turquoise waters of the bay when viewed from sea level. Another exceptional geological feature of Halong Bay is the number of limestone islands which have caves and grottoes within them. The total number of caves has never been determined and there are almost certainly more which are yet to be discovered. In order to preserve the natural state and integrity of the large number of caves and grottos in the World Heritage Area, only some are open to visitors. The most commonly visited are Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace) cave, Dau Go (Wood Tip) grotto, Sung Sot (Surprise) cave and Trinh Nu (Virgin) grotto.
The shapes and formations on the sides and rooves of the caves, many now being part of local folklore and legends, bear witness to the different stages of formation over the ages. Some cave features, such as calcified shell-beds, are the direct result of ancient human activity. The lower chambers of some caves and grottos are below sea level. Due to the porous nature of limestone, these chambers are often partially filled to form tidal lakes and pools. Although most of these are shallow, the depths of some have never been determined. The geomorphology of Halong Bay indicates that it is almost certain that there are undiscovered and fully entombed lakes within many of the islands. Dau Be (Goat’s Head island) alone has 6 different tidal lakes.
The sea in Halong Bay is generally less than 10 meters (33 feet) deep and boasts a rich biodiversity of about 1,000 species of marine animals. Over 160 species of coral have been identified. Coral reefs make up 30% of the seabed and in some areas as much as 80% of the seabed is covered in coral reefs. Most coral reefs are at a depth of 4-6 meters. Undoubtedly Halong Bay’s greatest attraction is its natural scenery. The towering limestone outcrops jutting skywards from the emerald-blue waters. The sheer numbers and size of the islands, islets and karsts within the bay serve to humble even the most jaded traveler.
Swimming, kayaking, hiking and of course photography are favorite pastimes for visitors to Halong Bay - one of the most popular tourist attractions in all of Vietnam. Abundant fresh local seafood is another delight.
Floating fishing villages are the most popular human attraction. Entire village populations live, work and die on these ’floating islands’ in Halong Bay. The villagers are mainly fisherfolk and ply the waters around their villages selling their fresh produce to the passing tourist trade.
One, it is easy for us to collect clothes which we don't need for poor and needy people. Besides, we can join in volunteer activities in our country on Tet, Summer, etc. We spend some time talking with older people, share wih poor children. through this activities, it helps me develop better leadership skills by orgnizing fund raising, food drives and so on.
Do you think give blood? oh, i think that we ought to give blood every year because many people are in need them.
Overcome community service, we wil get to do many interest things and take part in volunteer activities is a good idea.
All in all, we know that we can and will make a difference in people's lives everyday. I hope all of us will join in volunteer activities and you can bring joyful or only smile for everyone. Why don't we take part in activities on this Summer holiday? Chúc bạn học tốt!
