I'm very glad to receive your letter. To say, this is a hard question to me, because for a long time before that, I was obese and prone to colds. But after that, i tried to find a good methods to solve that serious problem, and i think it may suitable with you.
The first method I have used to keep the body healthy and don't be obese anymore was changed the way i eat, what i eat and when i eat. I started cooking a healthy meal follow expert's advice, like add more vegetables and fruits, minimize fast food and drink more water. I stopped myself eating after 8:30 pm because was so unhealthy, even it was very hard.
The second method is very important, it takes persistence and perseverance, that was do excercise. With me, i tried to find my favourite sport to pursuit and training, and i chose volleyball. I allocate time to some simple exercise like walking, regular gym and the time for me to practice volleyball with my friends.
Finally is live healthy, don't sleep too late, drink juice, get away from bad habits and let your soul relax. Make yourself happy!!
