 Dear Hikalya!

You must be surprised to receive this letter because you do not know that I am a Vietnamese, but I knew you from watching Russian TV shows and you want to learn about Vietnam. To get acquainted with you and introduce a bit of your country's culture to you is the traditional Vietnamese New Year

Tet Nguyen Dan is the biggest and most anticipated holiday of the year in Vietnam. The traditional New Year's Day with many interesting customs and holidays has become a very unique culture. Normally in Vietnam, every time preparing for the Lunar New Year, everyone whether working or studying has a holiday schedule. There will usually be public holidays for more than a week and two to three days before December 30.

On the first day of the new year, everyone will wish each other good things and parents and grandparents will give lucky money to their children and grandchildren. The red envelopes of red envelopes mean good luck, goodness, and hope that the children will study well.

Previously, lion dance only took place in sacred places such as temples, pagodas ... Nowadays, everyone can watch lion dance in many public places. Lion dance is a fun and jubilant activity to welcome a lucky and successful new year.

I hope you will get back to me and I wish you good health and success in school.
