Today, in this fashion article, we gonna talk about fashion styles Then and Now. This is a cool topic to discover some clothes and fashion from the past to the present.

ABOUT ME..

Hi! I'm Hoài Giang the editor of this article and I'm a fashional person. In my opinion, I'm not really keen on Korean styles but Rocker fashion style is my favour, because I really like dark and scarlett clothes instead of bright colors. Unfortunately, I don't watch any fashion show nor celebrities. 

After days reading and researching about fashion, this is my work for this Fun English competition.

Fashion is an integral of our life, including not only clothes but also hairstyles, shoes and make - up line. In general, the advantage of fashion is to make you more attractive and good-looking. So today, every professional designers are demonstrating on their skill, showing their creative knowledge and experienced hands. 

Nowadays, fashion styles are used for business, parties and social events, bringing lots of trends to fans in the Internet.

It's true that each person has each different outfit styles, depending on their color and favour. But that is just the present. In the past, clothes are quite normal and traditional, which people recently used on business days. 

Importance of fashion:

Fashion is important because it reflects the culture of a country. It makes our life colourful and changes our life with time. In a way it also adds variety to life, providing an opportunity in trying out something new. That is not only for beautiful ladies but also gentlemen, making them more unique.. Each person has each favorite style, which depends on the color and personality.

Early 18th century...

 In that century waistcoat was invented by King Charles in England. In general, waistcoats are coats which some schools, univesities and companies wear for uniform. But, the first waistcoat wasn't modern at all. Instead, it was quite royal. That was a cloth which is the essential third piece in the traditional three-piece male business suit. 

By the 1970s women were wearing vests as part of their work attire and soon thereafter as part of their casual wear. Clearly the vest is a small fashion statement that has been making a big impression for centuries.

In 19th century......

Bustles were long dresses for womens since the 19th century. They came in all shapes and sizes. Some were constructed almost entirely of steel, others resembled colourful cushions. These were often stuffed with horsehair, down and even straw to achieve the desired fullness. Bustles were often ridiculed in journals and the popular press, especially in France and England.

Unfortunately, bustles disappeared after two to three years, only to return to fashion in a more exaggerated form from the early 1880s.

 In the 20th century.....

In the 20th century, fashion has grown a lot with clothes and movements. The styles, designs and materials of other times and cultures became more accessible to designers at first hand as improved travel and communications enabled continents to be crossed with ease.

The strict corset dress are usually made of a flexible material and then stiffened with boning which is inserted into channels sewn in the cloth. Queen Victorian in England had worn this kind of beautiful dress.

Today...

Nowadays, fashion is quite modern and popular all over our global, including Animal fashion style, Artsy fashion style, Casual fashion style, Chic fashion style, Trendy fashion style, Vibrant fashion style,....

I - Asian trends

Asian trends are attactive for their beauty and meaning. These styles are used for business, music bands and hobbies.

1. Korean fashion trends

Many women and men in Korea are interested in their fashion styles in their living. According to the trend, there's a Korean girl sitting on the pavement with skinny coat and black boots.

More formation: Korean trends are absolutely popular for both male and female. 

2. Hip Hop Asian Fashion

Most hip-hop style trends involve baggy or loose clothing that is comfortable. Basketball jerseys, especially vintage ones, are very popular. Rappers often use this cool fashion style for their performance.

3. Girly Asian fashion

Of course, this trend is used for females only, which dresses, sport shoes and lipsticks might worth. These fashion clothes are used for landmarks, playgrounds, cinemas,... and home! They are more pretty than we expected. One of the major players in the girly Asian fashion niche is Korea. Korean-inspired outfits have quickly gained popularity through the rise of Kpop becoming more mainstream as it reaches an international audience. Fans from all over the world are now admiring a cuter subtype of Asian fashion through their favorite idol’s concert and everyday wear. This particular niche of Asian fashion can be most commonly seen in populated and youthful areas such as Hongdae where many teens and young adults rock the trendiest girly style fashion. After watching a great fashion show like this, you gonna find your favorite star, do you?

The Kayan group has an unique culture for beauty, which is referred to colloquially in English as the 'long-neck people' for the trademark brass neck rings traditionally worn by its women, which appear to lengthen the neck. The country that's famous for its islands and amazing street food also features women who bind their necks to make them appear longer.
