Perhaps in a year, Tet is the most awaited day. That's why in my hometown, it takes people a whole month to prepare for Tet. And Tet holidays are really the most sacred and joyful days of the year.

Preparing for Tet, every house is well-prepared. From the beginning to the end of the village, every family buys peaches and kumquats to celebrate Tet. Pink peach branches, yellow kumquats laden with branches, roses, chrysanthemums, coins, and gladiolus of all colors contribute to a bustling Tet atmosphere. People invite each other to go to the market to buy dong leaves, buy split rice, and invite each other to clean up the alleys and clean the house.

Adults are excited, children are even more excited. The children follow their mother to the Tet market, their rosy cheeks try on new clothes and they look so cute. Tet is also a joy when they receive red envelopes, wear new clothes, eat many delicious foods and perhaps their favorite is Tet without going to school! That is also one of the reasons that children like Tet more than adults.

On the first days of the new year, people go to each other's houses and wish each other the best for the new year. Not only that, people often talk about happy, lucky and happy things. Crying or getting angry is one of the taboos in the first days of the year, because it is believed that doing so will bring bad luck for the whole year.

That's why on New Year's Day in my hometown, everywhere I see happy and crispy laughter. Those laughs really come from a sincere heart, not a fake one, because the people of my village have always lived together very affectionately. On New Year's Day, every house can see the faint smell of incense and the trays full of delicious dishes that are not available on a daily basis.

At my house, my mother also prepares delicious dishes to make offerings to our ancestors. Mother said that, on New Year's Day, grandparents will visit their children and grandchildren, eat the first meal of the year with them, so I make the most delicious dishes to offer to the elderly with all respect and pray that the ancestors will be happy. for the whole family to have more health and more luck.

Maybe that's why in my mind, the first mornings of the year are always the most sacred moments. At that time, my whole family respectfully stood in front of the ancestral altar to pray for the best things to come in the future. Tet in my hometown is really the most memorable day of the year.

It is not only the beginning of a new year, but also the day when the family reunites, the day when all the worries of the year disappear, and instead there is only laughter, joy and happiness. The traditional Tet holiday is really a cultural feature imbued with the identity of the Vietnamese people.
